"From start to finish, these people at Fairfield are about the music and the
performer. I did the show called "House Concert On The Radio" back on May 12, '05. My first time in, so I didn't know what to expect. Everybody was
hustlin' around and getting things set up and making sure everything was
ready for the sound check and putting chairs and tables together. I had Jack Harris, a kid from Wales travelin' with me and opening the shows. Sound check went good and easy for the both of us. The sound in the place was great, the people were great, and the audience was with the whole thing. It was good all the way around. Hell, I even bought a Mexican hat off Dana and paid US mark up and American dollars. They recorded the concert and theysent me along the best sounding tape. “My experience in Shreveport at the Red River Radio House Concert series has been nothing short of amazing, and I would recommend it to any and all of my friends on the circuit. What you will find there is a built in audience, hungry for music and willing to listen. As if that’s not enough, they record the shows (multitracked) edit them, and play them on the Red River Radio stations that reach into parts of 5 states surrounding Louisiana. I think you’ll find that this might be one of the best experiences of your professional life.
Cary and I plan to go back there as often as they’ll have us. Take lots of product, you can expect crowds of close to a hundred, and they prefer to do these shows on an off night (our latest was on a Wednesday).
